Meet Dr. Moertel and Dr. Olin, two researchers who are working hard on innovative pediatric cancer research. Our partnership with the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital is funding a research grant so these doctors can continue improving the lives of children battling cancer.
For Dr. Moertel and Dr. Olin, a day at work is a chance to change the lives of children battling cancer. Both of them have encountered countless children who are undergoing harsh treatment, and they want to do everything they can to help improve these children’s lives.
The best way they can contribute to the fight against pediatric cancer is to conduct research, learn more about the cancer and find ways to make treatments more effective.
Dr. Moertel and Dr. Olin’s research is focused on brain cancer drug therapy. Their research aims to make brain tumor vaccines more effective and minimize harmful side effects. Ultimately, this has to potential to change the lives of children who are undergoing treatment and improve their experience during treatment. We are so proud of the progress they have already made and we are excited to see this research continue!
