Every year on October 22nd, we celebrate Love Your Melon Day - the anniversary of Love Your Melon and the incredible journey and impact we have made as a company for children battling cancer. This year, in 2020, Love Your Melon will be turning 8!
In our 8 years, Love Your Melon has supported over 40 different nonprofit organizations that lead the fight against pediatric cancer in research, creating therapeutic experiences, and family support. To date, we have given over $7.28 million to these nonprofit organizations and over 206,000 beanies to children and families battling cancer across the world. With your support, this number keeps growing and we are continuing to make the biggest impact possible each day with your help.
In lieu of physical hospital visits this year due to the pandemic, we are sending over 4,000 cozy Love Your Melon beanies and care packages to hospitals we work with in all 50 states. Designed with soft cotton, our beanies provide the utmost warmth and comfort, especially for children undergoing treatment in hospitals.
Our Superheroes battling cancer inspire us every single day to continue this fight. Pediatric cancer affects over 15,000 children a year, and we are actively working to fund research programs to reduce this number, help create therapeutic experiences as well as provide family support to families affected by pediatric cancer.
