On July 13th, in celebration of the new Barbie Movie, Love Your Melon was proud to partner with the Mattel Children’s Foundation and the Ryan Seacrest Foundation to host a Barbie party for the children at CHOC (Children’s Hospital of Orange County).
Families were greeted by an explosion of pink! Balloons, decorations, and giveaways were all in Barbie’s iconic favorite color, creating a fun atmosphere for a fantastic event. Love Your Melon gave all of the families a sneak preview of our new Barbie Summer collection prior to the public reveal on July 17th. The kids got to try out and take home our new booney hats, caps, visors and headbands!
Mattel donated a range of toys for all ages, including Barbies from their Barbie® Fashionistas™ line, which celebrates diversity and offers endless possibilities for storytelling and fashion exploration. The doll designs included all shapes, colors and sizes including dolls with wheelchairs, vitiligo and hearing aid. These dolls help kids express their unique personality through style!
The event took place within the Seacrest Studio at CHOC, so all the festivities were broadcast to each hospital room for the patients who were unable to come down to the studio. The Seacrest Studios staff hosted some fabulous rounds of Barbie-themed Bingo and chatted about all things Barbie!
“We’re always looking for new ways to help children’s hospitals provide more fun, engaging, and comforting experiences for their patients. Love Your Melon is so grateful for our partnerships with the Mattel Children’s Foundation, the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, and CHOC who have made it possible to create such a meaningful mission moment for the children today”, shares Love Your Melon Giving Director, Jenna Leinwohl.
