Each year on April 28th, we at Love Your Melon celebrate National Superhero Day - a day where we honor our incredible superheroes around the world. Our Superheroes not only include children battling cancer, but the nurses, doctors, caregivers, researchers, and the rest of the medical community who work every single day to make a difference in the lives of children battling cancer and other serious illnesses.
This year on National Superhero Day, we are restocking our Marvel x Love Your Melon collection including beanies and pom beanies, caps, and hoodies featuring the Avengers Logo, Captain America, Iron Man, and Spider-Man. Check out the collection here.
With in-person events still on pause due to Covid-19, we continue to strive to make the biggest difference for children battling cancer across the country, even remotely. We are sending over 5000 cozy beanies and superhero kits including blankets, socks, and coloring books, directly to a 100 different hospitals covering all 50 states. Child life specialists and caregivers will hand them out to children and families battling cancer at their hospitals and create fun experiences with them.
We are proud to be able to create smiles and send cozy beanies to children and families, especially during times like these. We hope one day that we can visit hospitals again in-person and be able to hand out beanies and meet the incredible Superheroes we are fighting for.
