At Love Your Melon, we celebrate National Superhero Day every year on April 28th to honor children battling cancer, who we call our Superheroes. In lieu of hospital events due to restrictions and closures from the pandemic, we are continuing to make nationwide impact by donating cozy beanies to over 80 hospitals in all 50 states.
This year, we are working closely with the child life specialists and hospital staff at children's hospitals to give over 5,000 beanies to children and families battling cancer across the United States. These donation events will take place throughout the week of National Superhero Day between Monday, April 25th and Friday, April 29th. Check out our map below of all the hospitals we'll be giving beanies at!
We are also excited to be partnering with the Seacrest Studios to donate beanies from our new DC x LYM Superheroes collection and the Adventures of the SuperCrew children's book. The incredible teams at the 11 Seacrest Studios located within children's hospitals will be handing out beanies & books all week and hosting a live broadcast read-along for the kids.
The impact we can make during these events for children and their families, as well as the healthcare workers taking care of our Superheroes could not be possible without you! We're so thankful for your continued support in our mission to fight pediatric cancer.
