Sometimes the simplest things can bring the biggest smiles and the most encouragement to children battling cancer. For this reason, hospital visits are a crucial part of our mission to support the fight against pediatric cancer.
We have visits happening every week at hospitals all around the country. Our Campus Ambassadors gather together to give beanies to children who are staying in the hospital. Often, these Crews set up in the hospital lobby so that children can come pick out a beanie, participate in crafts and activities and get to know the Crew Members. For children who are unable to leave their rooms, we deliver a beanie and spend time getting to know these superheroes and their families.
To date, we have given over 91,000 beanies to superheroes fighting cancer all around the country. If you know a superhero we have not yet connected with, let us know using the Request a Hat form so we can send your fighter a beanie!
A beanie and some encouraging words can truly go a long way. It is amazing and inspiring to see the strength of these children who are enduring such a difficult time - they truly are incredible superheroes.
